Early on in Term 2 the Year 5 to 8 Extension groups had the opportunity to visit the Pacific Collection at the Auckland Museum. This was organised by a man called Ma'ara Maeva from the Museum and his colleagues as part of the Talanoa Programme. It was an amazing opportunity to see artefacts up close and see some of the work that the Museum curators do.
When our students got back to school they were inspired to create their own movies about the trip to the Museum. Students worked in groups to create some pretty cool animations, documentaries and movies inspired by the Talanoa Programme.
